Confusing Words:
Take and Bring.
Take and Bring are common verbs in the English language. They have a tendency of being difficult for English as Second Learners mainly because although they have nearly identical meanings, they are used to indicate a different direction. Take means to move something away from a point, while Bring means to move that item closer to a point.
Examples of Take and Bring:
Please take that coffee away from the computer.
Please bring that coffee over here.
Please take the car from the shed and bring it to the front of the house.
I will take your empty bowl out to the kitchen.
